Where modern dance and urban street thrashing collide exists ‘Art of Skateboarding: One Fell Swoop’. The performance combines five seasoned professional dancers and three highly skilled skateboarders in a mix of pop culture and modern dance. Skateboarders, who defy the conventions of the urban landscape, have created new ways to move across the surface of the city, while Scott Wells & Dancers have similarly challenged the restrictions of modern dance with their extremely physical and aggressive style. The narrative thread of these performances is intended to question how we interact with our urban environment.
